JEPWA CLT (Jefferson Exposition Park West Adams CLT)
JEPWA CLT’s mission is to stabilize the neighborhoods near USC where real estate speculation continues to push low-income, long-term residents. We serve as stewards to community controlled land as the basis for creating pedestrian-centered neighborhoods that offer affordable housing, economic opportunities, and recreational spaces.
JEPWA will ensure that the housing it acquires, constructs, or rehabilitates will remain affordable in perpetuity for successive generations of owners or renters. The method for ensuring permanent affordability is through a ground lease agreement. By retaining the right to the land, regardless of the type of legal ownership of the buildings, JEPWA will ensure the selling price is affordable, regardless of current market prices.
